Washington-based Internet Talk Radio is considered the first radio station on the planet to broadcast online. The most important event in radio history took place in 1993.

At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, a terrible shipwreck occurred. The ship “Masens” began to sink, but the wrecked people survived. This was due to the world’s first use of radio communication to save people in a disaster.

If it were not for the radio, there would be no famous symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower. It was built for the World’s Fair, but then the authorities thought about demolishing the structure. But the tower was saved by the idea that the top of the future symbol of the French capital could be effectively used to receive radio signals.

There is such an interesting radio station in the world as Bird Song Radio. All it broadcasts are recordings of bird songs, recorded a long time ago by a famous British ornithologist.
